Industrial Site Based Paramedic at ER24

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

• To attend to site based emergency calls and provide medical care in line with scope of practice.
• Appointment for this position is subject to successful completion of physical fitness and medical assessment

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• To ensure operational readiness for emergency calls
• To administer patient care in line with the scope of practice
• To provide professional emergency services to site-based clients
• To provide basic shift administration services

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

• ALS Qualification (CCA, Ndip, Btech)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

• 1 years ALS operational experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• 2 years ALS operational experience

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Demonstrate sound knowledge of the EMS environment
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of HPCSA guidelines and scope of practice
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge and application of best practice
• Demonstrate thorough working knowledge of facilities, travel routes and demographical area
• Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of Patient Report Forms
• Demonstrate the ability to complete Patient Report Forms comprehensively
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of relevant legislation
• Demonstrate sound proficiency in the English language (written and verbal)
• Demonstrate knowledge regarding specific client rules and regulations
