Information Security Engineer (Goodwood) at PathCare

The selected candidate should demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and be a valuable contributor within our teams.

Knowledge/Qualification

• An applicable tertiary qualification, preferably degree(s) and/or relevant certification(s), from ISC and/or others to cover malware analysis, industry leading firewall technologies, IAM technologies

Experience

• At least 2-5 years solid experience with EDR/XDR technology principles
• 2-5 years working experience with enterprise firewalls
• 2-5 years working experience with vulnerability management software
• 2 years work experience in incident response processes and procedures
• Experience using Entra ID, AD and Keycloak Server highly beneficial

Profile, Skills & Competencies

• Demonstrable IT technical skills, particularly with security tools and application
• Understanding of scripting and/or coding advantageous
• Strong understanding of information security principles and a proactive stance in identifying and remediating vulnerabilities
• Experience in security incident analysis and risk mitigation, showcasing strategic decision-making and sense of urgency
• Excellent analytical acumen and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication skills
• High attention to detail

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in refining SIEM / SOC use cases and conduct thorough investigations and resolutions for escalated threat intelligence, security breaches and unauthorized access.
• Assist in cyber security incident response as part of the CSIRT team and contribute in developing and testing runbooks.
• Stay attuned to emerging security issues, threats, and state-of-the-art mitigation strategies, sharing insights to bolster the Group's security posture.
• Participate and co-ordinate security architecture reviews, vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, and drive remediation efforts to closure.
• Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate security solutions and processes into diverse applications and systems.
• Compile cyber security reports, providing insights into statistics and trend analysis.
• Assist in delivery of strategic cyber security projects.
