Information Technology Infrastructure Specialist – Operational Technology (OT) at Datacentrix

• Managed Talent Solutions client is looking for an IT Infrastructure Specialist (OT) on a 8 month fixed term contract.  You must have a minimum of 8 years experience in IT/ OT infrastructure roles with a strong focus on project management, planning and scoping. You will focus on delivering and managing Operational Technology (OT) Infrastructure planning work for projects, demands, and solutions. This role serves as the primary contact and contributor for the planning and scoping of all infrastructure-related projects and needs, ensuring that high-level solutions are developed and costed.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for OT infrastructure projects and demands.
• Lead the planning and design of infrastructure solutions, ensuring alignment with business and operational needs.
• Develop comprehensive scopes of work, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IT and OT infrastructure.
• Conduct regular site visits to operational locations to assess infrastructure needs and support project implementation.
• Provide expert guidance on IT/OT infrastructure best practices, technologies, and standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance infrastructure efficiency, reliability, and security.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years experience in IT/OT infrastructure roles, with a strong focus on project planning and scoping.
• Proven experience scoping complex infrastructure projects and demands.
• In-depth knowledge of IT/OT infrastructures, including networking, servers, storage, and security.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems, SCADA, PLCs, and other OT environments is advantageous.
