    Information Technology Manager

    Job Function:

    To formulate a tactical ICT strategy and associated practice delivery plan and influence operational implementation, contributing to clients/customers/staff satisfaction, reduced risk and improved profitability.

     

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Planning, organising, controlling and evaluating ICT and electronic data operations.
    • Managing ICT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, ensuring job expectations are clearly communicated to employees and appraising their performance.
    • Overseeing the designing, development, implementation and coordinating systems, policies and procedures.
    • Ensuring security of data, network access and backup systems is monitored and maintained.
    • Acting in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organisational policy.
    • Identifying areas of concern and implementing strategic solutions in a timely manner.
    • Managing auditing systems as well as assessing their outcomes.
    • Ensuring assets, information security and control structures are preserved.
    • Handling the annual budget as well as ensuring cost effectiveness.

     

    Qualifications Required:

    • A minimum of Grade 12 (Matric), or equivalent qualification
    • A Diploma/Degree in Information Technology or equivalent qualification
    • MCTIP, SQL, MCDBA and understanding of Virtual environments will be an advantage
    • At least 5-8 years Management experience (preferably in the medical/ pharmaceutical industry)

     

    Skills and Experience Required:

    • Planning, organization skills
    • Decision making, problem solving, creativity
    • Analytical preference with attention to detail
    • Good reading and writing skills in English language
    • Good communication skills
    • Ability to interact at a high level with clients/Customer/Staff
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Computer literacy
