Information Technology Service Desk Manager at Smollan

We are looking for a dynamic IT Service Desk Manager to ensure organisation effectiveness through the management of the organisation’s technical resources and infrastructure (hardware and software)

Minimum Qualifications: National Diploma / Degree (IS/IT/Informatics/Computer Science)

• A+, N+, MCSD, CNE, CAN
• Minimum Experience: 6-8 years technical support experience within a Microsoft and Novell environment, 3 years management experience within a technical, helpdesk department
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Leadership qualities
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem solving skills
• Customer service skills
• Good knowledge of MS Office and a range of PC application

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

• Effective Technical Support 
• Manage and track call-log system to ensure calls are closed according to department standards and service level agreements
• Delegate technical support duties to capable individuals
• Assist Service Desk Analysts with calls of a more difficult nature
• Effective Project Implementation  
• Effective leadership and team management
