Infrastructure Skills Development Grant (ISDG) Graduate Trainee Opportunities
Unemployed South African graduates below the age of 35 years to participate in the National Treasury funded Infrastructure Skills Development Grant (ISDG) Training programme within the City of Cape Town on a three years’ contract.
Eligible to register with a relevant statutory professional council (ECSA) as a professional Engineer/Technologist/Technician
A code B drivers’ licence will be an added advantage
Key Performance Areas
Produce tailor-made training plan in line with professional council with the Mentor and Complete the structured program to build competencies for professional registration
Participate on research and capital/operational projects relevant to statutory professional council (ECSA)
Participate in all ISDG related activities and engage with different engineering disciplines
Provide monthly and quarterly training progress reports
All reports should be conducted in a professional manner and in the interest of the City of Cape Town.
Perform various routine activities in line with training plans
Register Professionally with relevant statutory professional council (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer/Technologist/ Technician within a 3-year period.
Collaborate with supervisor to gain practical experience toward professional registration
