Innovation Coordinator at Smollan

Job Summary:

• To assist with and coordinate daily operations aligned to Smollan’s innovation programme, including research, analysis and project management.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

Coordination of the Innovation Programme

• Manage and maintain a system/platform for the submission of innovations
• Review submissions, collate data and compile reports with findings
• Manage the innovation pipeline process
• Monitor progress and generate reports indicating updates
• Provide support on initiatives linked to transforming the business through purpose

Research and Analysis

• Conduct research to identify trends and best practice in industry and technology
• Analyse, summarise and draw conclusions from information collected in order to inform projects and make recommendations
• Conduct research on external businesses that align to our partner and/or acquisition mandate
• Compile trend reports and memorandums
• Collaborate with the team to leverage opportunities based on identified trends
• Assist in collating data related to the tender process

Project Management

• Compile project plans for the implementation of innovation initiatives
• Manage, monitor and contribute to various projects and innovation activities
• Ensure that projects remain on track and that timelines are met
• Track budgets
• Coordinate activities across teams

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with key stakeholders in the project planning process
• Identify and address needs of all key relevant stakeholders
• Participate and assist in preparing for meetings with key stakeholders
• Proactively manage stakeholder updates and communicate progress on key work streams

Requirements

• Relevant Tertiary Qualification
• 3-5 years’ experience in research, project management and/or product design/development
