Job Description

• To lead the Insurance Insights function, develop, analyse and manage business reports, data models and algorithms in an accurate and timely manner to enable strategic and operational decision making.

Qualifications

• Type of Qualification: First Degree
• Field of Study: Business Commerce, Finance and Accounting, Analytics

Experience Required 

• 5-7 years 
• Proven experience leading insights, analytics, or data science initiatives in a complex business environment, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Strong capability in building analytical, statistical, and machine‑learning models to solve real business problems, supported by a solid background in exploratory analysis and predictive techniques.
• Hands‑on experience working with large, complex, and mixed data sources (both structured and unstructured), shaping these into reliable, reusable datasets that support decision‑making.
• Strong data engineering and automation skills, with experience designing and overseeing end‑to‑end analytics processes from data ingestion and transformation through to insight delivery and operational reporting. 
• Demonstrated proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark, experience working in Hadoop or distributed data environments, and comfort operating in production systems using SSH, command‑line tools, and scheduled workflows (Cron).
• A solid understanding of modern data platforms and architectures, and experience partnering with engineering and technology teams to ensure analytics solutions are robust, scalable, and production‑ready.
