Intern: Environmental Health Practitioner -3 at Sol Plaatje Local Municipality

SALARY:

• R11 200.00pm [6 months contract]

REQUIREMENTS:

• National Diploma in Environmental Health or equivalent.
• HPCSA registration as an Environmental Health Practitioner.
• Valid Code EB drivers’ licence and own transport.

COMPETENCIES:

• Knowledge of environmental health legislation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Report writing and administrative skills.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Conduct and render Municipal Health Services as defined in the National Health Act (Act 63 of 2003) which includes:

• Food safety, water quality monitoring, waste management and general hygiene monitoring, health surveillance of premises and preventation of communicable diseases, vector control, environmental health awareness, disposal of the dead, chemical safety.
