National Senior Certificate/Matric Certificate/Grade 12 with a National Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Sport Management or Human Movement Science. Understanding of the MPP Conditional Grant framework will be an added advantage. Good presentation, verbal and writing skills.
Willingness to work under pressure. Computer skills. A valid code 08 driver’s licence will be an added advantage. Be a South African citizen. Must have no criminal record. Applicants must be unemployed and never participated in an internship programme previously.
DUTIES :
Program Planning: How to design community sport programs, mass participation events, coaching clinics, school sport support.
Facilities Management: Basic upkeep of fields, halls, equipment inventory, booking systems. Event Management: Planning, coordinating, and running sport festivals, tournaments, fun walks – including risk management.
Social Cohesion & Development: Using sport for youth development, crime prevention, health promotion, inclusion of people with disabilities. Assist in organising and coordination of Sport and Recreation activities. Liaise between DSRAC, Recreation structure and DoE. Compile reports, register athletes in Schools, hubs and clubs participating in sport events. Compile needs analysis and capture data. Assist in the procurement process.
