Intern - Software Developer (Pietermaritzburg) at Gijima

Job Description 

Gijima is recruiting 2 x Software Developer Interns in Pietermaritzburg.  CANDIDATES MUST LIVE IN PIETERMARITZBURG.

The criteria is as follows:-

• Candidates must have completed a Degree, Diploma or National Diploma in Information Systems or Computer Science or Engineering
• Clear credit (ITC) and no criminal record;
• Candidates must currently be unemployed;
• Candidates must not be participating on another learnership or internship program;
• Candidates must have effective communication in written and verbal English;
• Candidates must live in the Pietermaritzburg area – relocation is not an option
• Candidates must be under the age of 35 as at 1 July 2024;
• Candidates must be a South African Citizen – African, Coloured, Indian;

COMPETENCIES:

• C# Winforms
• Knowledge of WCF Services, REST, Web API.
• Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, creating and debugging Triggers, Stored Procedures, Functions and Packages
• Understanding of JSON and XML
• Knowledge of VB6 to support and upgrade legacy systems
• Knowledge of .net COM Interop
• Knowledge of net core web api.
• Knowledge of Incident Management Experience (such as Jira, Remedy)
• Understanding of agile principles and unit testing
