Internship Employee Relations I, C3, VAR111/22GS - ER - Emalahleni
The role is a developmental role, with the primary purpose being to learn through experiential learning about the Employee Relations function. The successful candidate will complete a structured development programme within 12 months to which the internship will cease to exist. Possible consideration for a suitable vacant position may be considered upon completion of the internship programme.
The duties will include but are not limited to:
Minute taking during various engagements with organised labour
Report writing
Preparing power point presentations
Scheduling meetings between stakeholders and Management and assisting with all admin related processes in preparation for these meetings
Coordinate and track ER metrics
Ensure that reports and minutes are submitted within an agreed timeframe
Shadowing the ER Manager at the CCMA, as and when required
Shadowing the ER Manager in disciplinary hearings and grievances as and when required
Be willing to work overtime when required
Must be able to travel in own vehicle to the operations for engagements
You will need:
National Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management / Labour Law / Law
Minimum of 1 year experience in HR and ER
1 year exposure in employee relations
Basic knowledge of HR policies and procedures and legislative requirements in terms of compliance
Basic knowledge of the LRA, BCEA, MHSA
Basic knowledge of bargaining processes and conflict resolution skills
Good organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good report writing skills
A strong desire to learn and grow
Computer skills (MS Office, excel, PowerPoint)
Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness
