Internship: Graphic Designer at KZN Department for Community Safety and Liaison

• The Department of Community Safety and Liaison is offering a Graduate Internship opportunity to unemployed graduates who wish to gain work experience relevant to the below mentioned field of study.
• The duration of the internship programme is 24 months.
• Graduates from all districts who meet requirements that are stated below may apply.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for arranging his/her own accommodation and transport.
• The successful candidate will also be required to assume duties on 01 March 2025 and enter into the Internship Agreement with the Department.
• The minimum monthly stipend of R 7 450.75 will be payable as outlined in the relevant prescripts.

Requirements: The applicants must meet the following requirements: -

• Must be a Graduate in the specific field listed below
• Must be between the ages of 18 to 35 years old
• Must have no work experience
• Must have never served under any graduate internship programme previously.
• Graduates from the following fields of study are invited to apply.

Qualification

• Degree or Diploma in Graphic Designing or equivalent qualification recognised by SAQA Centre

Duties:

• Create visual content for online and offline platforms like websites, print adverts, digital posters, logos, and videos;
• Concept creation, layout design and amending designs based on feedback;
• Develop the production design and overall layout for banners, products, brochures, and more;
• Design graphics to meet specific promotional needs like logos, packaging, displays, or imagery for digital and printable products;
• Assist in the performance of administrative tasks in the Communications sub-directorate.
