Internship (Plant and Soil) at University of Venda

Requirements:

• BSc. Agriculture in Plant and Soil
• The applicant must be 18 to 35 years of age
• The applicant must be South African citizen
• No work experience required

Job duties

• Conduct soil sampling, testing, and analysis to determine fertility and health.
• Recommend soil improvement measures such as fertilization, liming, or organic matter incorporation.
• Assist in erosion control and soil conservation practices.
• Monitor the effects of different cropping systems and land management practices on soil health.
• Document and report on soil management activities and results.
• Assist in research and development of high-yield crop varieties.
• Monitor crop growth and performance under various environmental conditions.
• Participate in pest and disease control strategies.
• Conduct experiments to improve crop resistance and productivity.
• Collect and analyze data on plant physiology and genetics.
