Key Purpose
To perform administrative work in support of implementation of risk improvement recommendations and ongoing tracking thereof.
To assist with auditing the technical aspects of new business quotes issued to ensure compliance with mandates and underwriting documents
To assist with monitoring of Binder Brokers including auditing of Binder functions in line with mandates issued.
Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to
Adherence to role Mandates, Reinsurance, risk and compliance requirements.
Review anniversary-, servicing- and new business referrals in line with mandate.
Adhering to Risk Management (underwriting) rules, rating, and insurance laws and regulations.
Make decisions regarding the acceptance, price and policy terms and condition that are consistent with business, in line with mandate.
Communication of, tracking and policy updates relating to but not limited to Risk Reduction Requirements, Multi-Claimants and Going off Risk cases, contributing to ensuring a profitable loss ratio.
Identifies underwriting concerns and suggest possible solutions.
Manage and resolve queries received from various stakeholders including doing the necessary follow up work.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Communicates openly and within the required SLA.
Mentor and coach DBI Operational Consultants based on referrals/ identifying training needs.
Perform quality assessments on new business and existing plans, based on DBI Operational Consultants workflow.
Conduct audits on specific policies, based on criteria as defined by Business and Technical Underwriting i.e. vehicle only risk and adherence to VDB requirements, high vehicle value policies & adherence to tracking device requirements etc.
Underwriting of risk with validation triggers in line with mandate.
Completion of daily, weekly and monthly reports reflecting volumes, SLA etc.

BCOMM/Risk Management
BSC Degree (Advantageous )
Minimum Experience
No previous internship and or graduate programme in any industry or government institution
No work experience (Essential)
