    Investigator: Security

    The CSIR has a vacancy for Investigator: Security in the Facilities Management and Security Services Portfolio. The incumbent will provide strategies for the management and conduct of investigations into any breaches of Security or any acts or omissions that are contrary to CSIR policies, procedures and codes of conduct. This position is based in Pretoria.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop a governance framework and a strategy for investigations within the CSIR;
    • Ensure effective and prompt response to client requests on matters requiring investigation;
    • Conduct investigations effectively;
    • Ensure that there is proper engagement and communication with all relevant stakeholders;
    • Management of risks through incident trend analysis;
    • Ensure compliance with relevant legislative acts and security standards.
       

    Qualifications, Skills And Experience

    • A three-year Diploma / Degree in Investigations or a related security field with at least five years’ experience in security investigations;
    • Registration with PSIRA Grade B;
    • Possession of or willing to be subjected to a Secret Security Clearance;
    • Ability to liaise with various stakeholders such as SAPS, NKP Office, SSA, and other government security agencies;
    • Experience in giving evidence in court or disciplinary hearings;
    • Must have good communication and writing skills;
    • Service orientation,self-reliant and using own discretion;
    • Ability to exercise tact and good judgement with highly-sensitive information;
    • High levels of computer literacy required;
    • Demonstrable track record of the ability to work accurately and efficiently;
    • Demonstrate personal credibility and the ability to establish and maintain good relationships; within the workplace;
    • Ability to deliver on the job requirements;
    • Respect for confidentiality and human dignity;
    • Must have a valid Driver’s Licence.
