Investor MI Reporting Analyst at Kerridge Commercial Systems South Africa

Reporting into the Group Finance Director and working very closely with the CFO, you will be an integral part of our friendly but professional Finance Team. The successful individual will take responsibility for the monthly pack to our investors.  It is likely that you will have experience in a dynamic software business reporting on customer pipeline orders and recurring revenue streams.  We are seeking someone who is creative with an enquiring mind that can interpret data and understand how it corresponds to the business.  Its really important to us that you have the ability and passion to explain what data means and be confident in putting your professional view to the business.  This is a position that will require you to be relentless and inquisitive with the ability to deal with scale. You will form a vital part of core finance through an exciting period of growth and change including significant investment into existing systems and data to facilitate business decision making. It’s not all work and no play.  Our Finance team all have a dry sense of humour and are very collaborative.        

 Key Responsibilities:

• Own the core monthly and quarterly investor reporting processes (CFO Board report, CEO KPIs report, Quarterly Bank updates).

• Develop and own the Group’s rolling 3-year financial forecast model and report against it.

• Work closely with the CFO and the Director Group Finance to ensure delivery of accurate and insightful reporting to the Board, CFO, Group FD and other senior stakeholders.

• Working closely with the Private Equity investors to deliver additional key financial information.

• Drive improvement of data analytics, reporting solutions, financial models and processes that support strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and actuals performance management.

• Provide ad-hoc project support to priority group corporate finance initiatives (M&A, fund raising, systems development, scenario modelling, cash flow modelling, investor relations).

Key Requirements:

• Personable, with a strong commitment to team outcomes.

• Confident in advanced MS Excel and data analytics techniques.

• Significant use of PowerBI/Phocas and other tools to support the monthly board pack.

• Handling large quantities of data and transforming into meaningful information.

• Analyse current data and building basic models to help support financial decisions.

• Visualisation and commentary on high level MI.

• Possessing strong reporting and analytical skills.

• Able to evidence strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to assimilate and interpret data accurately and to tight timescales.

• Qualified accountant (UK: CCAB) or similar analyst (UK: CFA) or corporate finance qualification. 

Desirable Knowledge, Experience and Technical Skills:

• Experience of working in a group finance team or corporate finance team in reporting/analyst role within a software business

• Experience of cash flow and working capital forecasting

• Experience of working with Lucanet reporting or other similar finance reporting systems
