Description:
To provide a sound Industrial relations service in representing the Company at CCMA proceedings as well as advising Line Management on the application of the Company disciplinary and grievance procedures. Thus, ensuring harmonious Employee relations are maintained.
Requirements
· Labour law diploma
· Relevant B-Tech HR / B. Com HR degree would be advantageous
· Minimum 5 (five) years’ experience of representing companies at CCMA
· Sound knowledge of and ability to interpret labour legislation, especially the LRA, BCEA
· Own reliable car
· Willing to do extensive travelling across the country
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Good negotiation skills
Internal industrial relations
· Advise line management on correct application of internal discipline and grievance procedures
· Chair appeal hearings in accordance with company procedures as and when required.
CCMA proceedings
Thorough investigation of all facts to be used during CCMA proceedings
Research relevant case law to be used in CCMA proceedings
Liaise with labour law experts where required and approved to ensure adequate preparation for CCMA proceedings
Prepare bundles for use at CCMA proceedings
Represent the company at CCMA proceedings
Arrange for legal representation and brief counsel accordingly where required at CCMA / Labour Court proceedings
Filing and or serving of necessary documentation, in accordance with the rules of the CCMA with regards to conciliation and arbitration proceedings
Administration
Maintain internal IR register of all CCMA / Labour court issues
Compile and submit monthly IR reports to the Human Resources Executive
Training
Facilitate the IR module of management training if and when required
