IS Business Controller at UD Trucks

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting and Planning

• Support UD international sales department to monitor profitability on trucks and services sales.
• Actively involved in the estimate activities and standard cost calculations.
• Constantly developing and maintaining a strong relationship with the UD BA different departments
• Always implement UD trucks policies and procedures in a compliant environment.
• Actively involved in deployment and monitoring of Internal control process

Cost control

• Set, control, and maintain the cost saving target and actuals generated by all functions in IS South Africa
• Variance analysis between standard cost and actual cost.
• Cost Report (OPEX / Actual & Estimate)

Finance

• Support with monthly closing activities and related analytics to ensure smooth delivery of reported financial results.
• Analyse completeness and accuracy of Sales/Aftermarket related commercial provisions and support the documentation of these provisions in accordance with standards (Financial Policies and Procedures).
• Support the Snr Business Controller in preparing ad-hoc analysis and monthly financial reporting.
• Responsible to control the overall selling expenses
• Close collaboration with Finance, Group Financial Reporting and Internal Control

Minimum Qualifications and Experience 

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Management Accounting or Financial Accounting
• Completed articles (Advantageous)
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in related field
• Working experience in a finance related role, Sales, and Marketing within the Automotive industry (Preferred)
• Knowledge of IFRS, with basic consolidation accounting
• As a business controller, who has driven improvements by collaborating with the business side.
