    IT Project Manager - 6 Months Fixed Term Contract (Milnerton/Century City)

    Description

    • At Ecowize, we rely on our IT systems to power the solutions that help us meet our goals.  
    • We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager who can join us on this journey, using his or her skills to helps us drive project delivery.
    • In this role, you will drive end-to-end project coordination, ensuring timeless, budgets and quality standards are met.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, manage and deliver IT projects using recognized project management methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to defined scope and quality requirements.
    • Maintain detailed project documentation including charters, plans, milestone certificates and closure reports.
    • Engage and manage stakeholders across business units to ensure alignment on project requirements, prioritisation and dependencies.
    • Provide regular project updates, dashboards and reports to management and steering committees.
    • Facilitate workshops, stand-ups and project review sessions.
    • Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking and variance management.
    • Coordinate procurement activities, vendor quotations, and evaluation of project-related services.
    • Manage vendor deliverables and ensure contractual SLAs are met for project components.
    • Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies with mitigation plans.
    • Ensure IT projects follow company governance processes, security standards and POPIA aligned data handling requirements.
    • Maintain alignment with IT operational, cybersecurity and architectural guidelines.
    • Coordinate system rollouts, upgrades, integrations and migrations.
    • Ensure proper testing, training, documentation and user adoption activities are performed.
    • Support business readiness activities, rollout planning and controlled go-live execution. 

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements:

    • NDip IT, BTech IT, BSc IT or similar
    • PMP or equivalent advanced project qualification
    • Project Management Certification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, CAPM)
    • PMP or equivalent advanced project qualification
    • ITIL Foundation
    • 5+ Years IT Project Management experience
    • Previous experience managing technology-enabled change projects
    • Proven experience delivering ERP/CRM/Infrastructure projects
    • Experience working in a service‑intensive organisation
    • Hands-on experience with Agile or hybrid delivery frameworks
    • Experience managing vendors and multi-disciplinary teams
    • Knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile)
    • Solid knowledge of IT systems implementation and integration
    • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications, and security basics
    • Sound understanding of POPIA and data governance considerations
    • Proven knowledge of Business process analysis & requirements gathering
    • Understanding of Change management principles

    The successful incumbent will have the following skillset:

    • Vendor negotiation & contract management
    • Business analysis & requirements facilitation
    • Ability to translate technical concepts into business language
    • Documentation and reporting skills
