IT Stock & Asset Manager - JHB at Datacentrix

Managed Talent Solutions a division within Datacentrix is looking for an IT Stock and Asset Manager with understanding of asset management lifecycle and strong understanding of IT systems and processes, as well as asset management best practices.

You must ensure that the organization has the right assets in place to meet its business needs, reconcile the company current IT stock and put in place improved processes and controls.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Matric plus Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain
• 7 years finance and stock control experience
• Experience in managing IT assets
• Must be proficient in MS Excel

You must have experience in:

• Developing and implementing IT asset management policies and procedures: This helps to ensure that IT assets are used and disposed of in a responsible manner.
• Review and update the organization's IT asset inventory.
• Identify and assess IT asset risks.
• Develop and implement IT asset management policies and procedures.
• Work with vendors to purchase new IT assets.
• Coordinate the deployment and maintenance of IT assets.
• Track and manage IT asset costs.
• Oversee the disposal of IT assets in a secure and environmentally responsible manner.
• Maintaining an inventory of IT assets: This includes tracking the location, condition, and ownership of all IT assets, both physical and digital.
• Managing the acquisition, deployment, and maintenance of IT assets: This includes working with vendors to purchase new assets and working with internal IT staff to deploy and maintain those assets.
• Tracking and managing IT asset costs: This includes tracking the purchase price, maintenance costs, and depreciation of IT assets.
• Disposing of IT assets in a secure and environmentally responsible manner: This includes ensuring that all sensitive data is removed from IT assets before they are disposed of.
