Junior Accountant - Cape Town at SAOTA

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and other accounts.
• Processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Supporting senior accountants with internal and external audits and tax filings.
• Maintaining and updating accounting records and documents.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
• Researching and resolving accounting issues and discrepancies.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND CRITERIA

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• One year of accounting experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Familiar with accounting software and systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing business needs.
