    Brand Manager - Cape Town

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support the Head of Marketing with strategy development and implementation for the SAOTA brand, as well as periodic reporting to Board of Directors. Leading implementation of strategies with support from Digital, Graphics and Media.
    • Compile and monitor spend for the brand within the Marketing Budget.
    • Manage all Brand Collateral tasks.
    • Oversee Media Publicity and Manage all events and exhibitions SAOTA participates in.
    • Oversee Social Media Strategy for the brand (Photoshoots, Media lists, Press Pack/Release, Coverage).
    • Lead relationship-building relating to strategic partnerships for the brand.
    • Oversee and manage the SAOTA website.
    • Oversee, maintain, and manage the corporate identity.
    • Provide strategic input into and manage brand collateral (Books, Brochures, etc.).
    • Research and report on identified topics.

    KEY REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Brand Manager role
    • Relevant Marketing Degree
    • Passion for media and marketing
    • Ability to work accurately and professionally under pressure
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
    • Knowledge of the following is beneficial:

    Building & Maintenance Supervisor - Cape Town

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Planning and scheduling preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
    • Supervising and training a team of external maintenance technicians and contractors.
    • Ensuring compliance with safety codes, regulations, and standards.
    • Managing budgets and inventory of supplies and tools.
    • Evaluating and recommending improvements to the building systems and infrastructure.
    • Communicating with tenants, owners and vendors regarding maintenance issues and requests.
    • Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
    • Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
    • Install appliances and equipment.
    • Perform maintenance cleaning activities where needed.
    • The Building Supervisor will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional.
    • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
    • Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
    • Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.
    • Grocery shopping when required.
    • Running of errands, dropping off and picking up packages for the business.
    • All Regular maintenance of the HVAC, Water Supply, Sewerage and Plumbing, fire equipment etc.
    • Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, bathroom fixtures, etc.
    • Monthly Report Back to Management.
    • Stock Control.

    • Emergency Contact/Availability – After hours.
    • Property Maintenance and Quarterly Inspections.
    • Oversee complex projects.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND CRITERIA

    • A high school diploma or equivalent and preferably a certificate or degree in a relevant field.
    • At least 4 years’ experience in a similar position (building maintenance, repair or construction).
    • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry and other trades.
    • Experience using hand and electrical tools.
    • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
    • Customer service and communication skills.
    • Very good communication and interpersonal skills (Written and Verbal)..
    • Microsoft Office Knowledge in Word, Excel and Outlook.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Payroll & HRIS Officer - Cape Town

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Payroll Administration

    •  Oversees and controls the full Payroll function, ensuring all compliance processes are maintained.
    •  Prepare Monthly Payroll Input including New Starts, Leavers, Travel Leave, Unpaid Leave, Maternity Leave, Salary Changes, Hourly/Daily Paid Employees, Contract or Employee Changes, Disbursements, and Overtime.
    •  Ensure the information provided is accurate and complete before capturing.
    •  Submit monthly Payroll Pack to HR Manager for review and approval.
    •  Manage the Annual Payroll Audit.
    •  Ensure Annual Checks are done to update Medical Aid and Retirement Annuity Values of Employees on Payroll.
    •  Facilitates Payroll Audit.
    •  Facilitates statutory returns EMP 201, UIF, EMP 501.
    •  Bi-Annual EMP501 Submissions.
    •  Monthly EMP501 Submissions and Payments.
    •  Monthly UIF Submissions.
    •  Annual EMP 501 Reconciling and Submissions.
    •  Issue of IRP5 Certificates.
    •  Leave Accrual Values.
    •  Employer of Record administration relating to Payroll and Leave.

    HR Systems

    •  Responsible for overseeing and maintaining data integrity on the following platforms:
    •  PaySpace
    •  Employer of Record platform
    •  Vantage (actioning offboarding and monitoring onboarding)
    •  Responsible for Payroll Administration including loading new joiners accurately.
    •  Leave Processing, Reporting & Administration.
    •  Acknowledge resignations.

    Reporting

    •  Implement and maintain reports and systems which allow for HR data to be analysed and updated in an automated manner.
    •  Show a proactive and curious approach to problem-solving and analysis.
    •  Compile and distribute monthly HR reports to group leaders.
    •  Assist with reporting for WSP, BBBEE or EE as required (related to PaySpace).

    Architectural Technologist - Cape Town
