    Junior Ad Sales Lead

    About the Role:

    Tencent Africa Services is looking for a Junior Ad Sales Lead to join the team. The individual must be a results-driven sales representative that actively seeks out and engages customer prospects. They need to provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.

     

    Key performance objectives:

    • Through a combination of inbound and outbound contact strategies, convert leads that originate from business partners, marketing campaigns and requests.
    • Present, promote and sell services to existing and prospective customers.
    • Maximize revenue inflow from these client accounts.
    • Attain monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets related to your client account portfolio.
    • Effectively qualify, perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
    • Build, manage and keep up-to-date, a pipeline of sales opportunities using our lead management application.
    • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
    • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling.
    • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
    • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
    • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports.
    • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
    • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
    • Manage the ad sales campaigns, partnering with clients and internal cross-functional teams to launch, manage and fully deliver all sold, direct and programmatic deals.
    • Lead the campaign activation process by scheduling the client kick-off calls with the goal of confirming campaign objectives and KPIs, communicating accurate production and creative asset spec information, ultimately confirming all details needed for a flawless and timely launch.
    • Liaise and develop strong relationships with cross-functional internal teams.
    • Have some knowledge of the programmatic landscape.
    • Create comprehensive post-campaign analysis with learnings and recommendations effectively.

     

    Requirements:

    • Must have 2+ years of experience in digital sales management, with experience in programmatic sales a bonus. 
    • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
    • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills.
    • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
    • Domain knowledge in the ad sales/media space.
    • You have an existing network and relationship with advertisers and agencies in South Africa.

    • Must be comfortable meeting and exceeding monthly quotas and handling rejections.

    • Knowledge of sales methodology and can adapt to new sales methods.
    • Be self-reliant and capable of independent work.
    • Work under pressure and meet deadlines.
