Junior Analyst - Johannesburg at Bureau Veritas Group

• Perform all analytical activities, and technical support pertaining to chemistry.

Minimum Requirements and Skills

• A tertiary qualification with BSc or a Diploma in chemical field and/or a.
• Minimum of 6 months Laboratory experience
• Fluent in English and local language

• Adhering to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality policies and instructions.
• To be familiar with the principles of GLP and Quality Assurance as specified in Company documentation.
• To ensure that all work performed is in accordance with supplied methodology.
• To notify the Operational Manager and Operational Supervisor if any abnormality or deviation occurs in normal operating parameters.
• To ensure that all reagents, glassware and instrumentation used meet the requirements of the relevant method.
• To ensure that results are available within expected time frames.
• To safely dispose of any chemical material used.
• To ensure that the work area is cleaned at the end of each day as well as kept neat during daily activities.
• To assist in maintaining a healthy and safe working environment and to ensure adherence to the Company PPE Policy (wear and use protective clothing and safety items issued).
• To attend Training Sessions according to Training Schedules.
• Must know departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
• Samples and standards preparations. 
• To maintain confidentiality of all M&L information.
