Junior Audit Manager at Pro Talent

• Our client, a well-established audit and advisory firm in Hillcrest, Durban, is seeking a qualified and ambitious Junior Audit Manager to join its leadership team. This role is ideal for a newly qualified CA(SA) with strong external audit and taxation experience who is looking to take the next step into a management position.

Key Responsibilities
Audit & Assurance

• Plan, execute, review, and finalise audit engagements. Attend client and engagement planning meetings for high-risk engagements.
• Perform quality control reviews on audit files.
• Attend final Annual Financial Statement meetings.
• Conduct technical research and provide guidance on complex audit matters.
• Ensure compliance with auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and firm methodologies.

Taxation

• Review and complete various tax returns.
• Manage SARS audits, verification requests, objections, and tax queries.
• Prepare provisional tax calculations for management approval.

Leadership & Staff Development

• Supervise and mentor Audit Supervisors.
• Drive a high-performance culture within the audit department.
• Provide ongoing coaching, training, and technical development to audit staff.
• Review and approve Audit Supervisors’ timesheets on a weekly basis.

Client Service

• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Liaise with clients on technical, audit, and taxation matters.
• Provide practical solutions and technical recommendations.  

Minimum Requirements

• Chartered Accountant [CA(SA)] designation.
• 2 to 3 years’ post-articles experience.
• Strong external auditing experience.
• Strong taxation experience.
