Job Description

• We are seeking a Junior Chef who has a good understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) principles to join our team. As a Junior Chef with strong HSE knowledge, you will be responsible for assisting in all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in food preparation, cooking, and plating dishes in accordance with set recipes and standards
• Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and guidelines in the kitchen
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure safe operation
• Keep work areas clean and sanitized at all times
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen or culinary school training
• Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) principles and practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Valid food handler's certification is preferred
