Junior Civil Draughtsperson/Designer - Consulting Industry
RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established civil consulting engineering firm based in Pretoria is seeking to appoint a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Civil Draughtsperson / Designer to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a young professional looking to develop both technical draughting and design skills within a dynamic project environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce accurate civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD (and/or Civil 3D where applicable)
Assist engineers with basic civil design work, including roads, stormwater, and related infrastructure
Prepare layouts, detail drawings, and as-built drawings according to project requirements
Interpret engineering sketches and convert them into technical drawings
Ensure all drawings comply with company standards and project specifications
Assist with revisions and updates to drawings as projects evolve
Provide general technical support to the engineering team
Requirements:
Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering Draughting or related field
0–2 years’ experience in a civil engineering draughting environment
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience will be advantageous)
Basic understanding of civil engineering principles (roads, earthworks, stormwater)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work well in a team and take instruction from senior engineers
Eagerness to learn and develop design capability over time
