    Junior Content Marketing Manager

    Description

    WhereIsMyTransport is a globally distributed scale-up revolutionising the way public transport information from emerging-market megacities can be accessed and understood. Using geospatial data collection, we untangle the mysteries of dynamic public transport networks - knowledge which, when shared, improves understanding and creates a more equitable society.     The Business Development Team is looking for a Junior Content Marketing Manager to join our global, remote-first mobility technology business. This person will support and assist our Communications Director and Content Marketing Manager with the delivery of departmental core marketing and communications initiatives, including leading on the management of our social media calendar across our blog and other corporate channels. You would therefore support both the creation and amplification of targeted content marketing initiatives, by other team members as well as leading your own related projects. Pursuing an evidence-based approach, you will oversee and implement an editorial calendar in support of content marketing and communications priorities, optimised for each channel. You will balance impact-driven thinking with mobility data storytelling, creating content that convinces target audiences of the opportunities at WhereIsMyTransport - as a data provider, product developer, employer, and mobility technology company.

    Six months goals for this role:

    • Writing persuasive copy for content marketing campaigns.

    • Measured the impact of your content strategies in support of core content marketing campaigns.

    • Be our resident expert on social media strategy - in support of content marketing campaigns and beyond.

    • Be part of the team shaping our upcoming content marketing strategies.

    • Be influencing the wider team and business based on best practice and measurable impact from your role.

    Overview of activities & responsibilities:

    • Write and edit content for a range of formats (from Linkedin posts to blog content) and range of audiences, always compelling and aligned to brand messaging.

    • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team, supporting the deliverables (from infographics to white papers) of content marketing projects.

    • Evaluate our editorial calendar approach, benchmark against industry best practice, and make evidence-based recommendations for achieving future content marketing impact in support of company priorities.

    • Work across the business to deliver content that meets priorities, takes advantage of owned channels, and harnesses opportunities recommended by you.

    • Manage and monitor company social media channels, responding appropriately to challenges and opportunities.

    • Understand and be influenced by digital metrics, developing strategies built for impact. Influence our team’s work based on research and data from your projects.

    Requirements

    To be successful in this role, you will:

    • have experience supporting colleagues with the production of deliverables associated with marketing strategies.

    • be ready to lead your own initiatives, managing content planning and creation for social media, and taking ownership of corporate social media.

    • be someone who enjoys writing for different formats - from punchy social media copy to deeper-dive blog posts.

    • be familiar with how to reflect defined brand messaging in your work.

    • understand digital metrics (SEO, etc.) and be comfortable applying learnings from them, as well as other feedback, to your work.

    • be excited by some plate-spinning, with project planning and management skills to support the business when multiple tasks are on the go.

    • be a comfortable collaborator, experienced communicating with people of different specialisms.

    Bonus attributes:

    The following will be a plus, but are not required for this role:

    • Experience writing about data.

    • Experience writing about mobility.

    • Experience in a technology company.

    • Experience writing about emerging markets.

    • Qualification in an associated field, including marketing, business, or journalism.
