Junior Developer / Operations Support at Tagmarshal

OBJECTIVE:

We are looking for a Dev Ops Engineer / Junior Developer to help develop and maintain a B2B software application. 

Tagmarshal is changing the world of Golf Operations through data and has developed leading traction in the USA, Europe, Canada, the UK and South Africa. We are looking for a new team member who adds value to our development and product team. Our new team member is accountable, keen to learn and executes on results and plans within his or her team.

Position: Junior Developer / Operation support

Commencement: Immediate - September 2020

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• DEVELOPMENT / Operations support
• Support and maintain the Tagmarshal software application(s)
• Manage  operations support processes including: implementations, testing, bug fixing and planning
• Documentation and testing
• Preparation and execution of ad hoc queries
• 3rd Line support, including after-hours (USA hours) on a roster basis 
• Actively communicate with stakeholders throughout the development process to ensure contribution to and delivery of a world class application and solution
• Report on measurable key performance indicators and be pro-active in solving challenges as they arise 
• Project management tool logging and updating
• Git source code management 

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, LEARNING AND GROWTH

• Learn daily and be part of a team that works on the following: 
• Identify opportunities for further product enhancement in line with market demands and opportunities
• Actively partake in research and development on future technology and solutions opportunities for the company
• Actively partake in solutions architecture planning, scale architecture planning, technology strategy planning and execution 
• Identify and recommend strategies to maximizing client satisfaction and product usage
• Ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect improvements in the software application, business objectives and any development within the company 

REQUIREMENTS AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 

• Knowledge of PHP and node.js with 1+ years of coding experience
• An interest in exploring and utilising web technologies and best practices, and desire to continuously improve your skills in a team environment
• Knowledge of LAMP stack 
• App development experience or interest advantageous 
• API design and distributed back-end systems experience or interest advantageous
