DESCRIPTION
Support the Marketing team’s Graphic Designer with the design, translation, and roll-out of both the Corporate Brand, Creative Campaigns and other creative deliverables required by internal and external stakeholders. Ensure that all visual materials reflect a keen eye for detail and passion for design resulting in a magical, unified, consistent, attractive identity for the V&A Waterfront brand.
REQUIREMENTS

Design and Finish Artwork:
- Conceptualization and Implementation:
- Support with the conceptualisation, design, and implement design solutions in line with the corporate identity and brand.
- Interpret creative briefs and develop supporting creative material.
- Production and Refinement:
- Use DTP software to produce or refine artwork and designs for publication and printing.
- Ensure professional formatting fit for purpose (e.g., size and style of type, column width, and spacing).
- Select and check colours, clipping, and trapping.
- Scan and edit photographs and maintain an updated and relevant image library.
- Redraw artwork where necessary.
- Help design professional presentations and report packs, including graphics such as diagrams, charts, and tables.
- Ensure all visual materials are unified, consistent, and professional.
- Ensure work is signed off/approved by the relevant managers.
- Keep all marketing and corporate collateral updated with the latest material (internal & external)
Preparation for Presentations, Publication, and Printing:
- Digital and Print Preparation:
- Use publishing technologies (such as HTML) to convert documents to an internet-ready format.
- Use software and other relevant technology to ensure all visual materials are ready and in the relevant format.
- Draw new die-cuts when required.
- Complete layout and typesetting of designs.
- Check final layouts and proofs for correctness.
- Print Coordination:
- Liaise with and fill out instructions for printers and prepare final artwork.
- Prepare files for various print techniques used by printers and oversee first-offs before full print run.
- Proof jobs on press, checking colour, film, Cromalins, and digital print.
- File setup, colour checking, sourcing CMYK breakdowns for pantones.
- General design and layout for large format printing.
- Panelling, adding bleed, colour retouching, redrawing of logos (vectors), double-sided/white ink process.
- Maintain project timelines and milestones
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Marketing team to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments to support their graphic design needs.
Educational requirements relevant to this job:
- Visual Communication / Graphic Design Diploma or Degree
Knowledge requirements relevant to this job:
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Understanding of UX principles
- Design Software (Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, After Effects, Indesign, Lightroom, Premier Pro
- Knowledge of AI technology would be advantageous
- Knowledge of printing methods and printing requirements
- Visual Communication and Graphic Design Principles
- Basic Video Editing Skills
- Content Creation
