    Junior HR Business Partner

    A career in our Human Resources, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to make a difference at PwC by helping to fully leverage the skills and talents of all our people. You’ll help our local offices in driving the Firm’s people strategy, creating a unique people experience for each individual, and supporting our Firm wide values by working with the core competencies that measure and drive individual and Firm wide success in the marketplace.

    Requirements to be met:

    • HR Management Degree
    • 3+ years working experience in a HCBP capacity

    Responsibilities:

    Recruitment and Onboarding

    • Ensures all Workday information and processes are updated.
    • Ensures new joiner requirements e.g assign coach, assign buddy, attendance at on-boarding is completed
    • Updating internal HR databases and Preparing HR documents
    • Responds to operations, and inspect trends related feedback from new joiner surveys
    • Point of contact for new joiners, post recruitment
    • Assists employees and answer employees queries about HR-related issue
    • Facilitates all queries regarding SNOW tickets
    • Follows up on outstanding documentation (contracts with clients)
    • Assist with arrangements of graduate onboarding

    Performance & Salary reviews

    • Work with HCBP’s to prepare for career round table (moderation) meetings
    • May facilitate some CRT discussions/ record keeping
    • Ensures transactional staff receive accurate data for increase processing
    • Ensure Workday is updated accordingly with poor performance information (ensure performance improvement plans are in place)
    • Upload all PIP information on WD
    • Track the PIP progress with HCBP’s

    Team Leaders Support

    • Provide guidance to Team Leader through various HC activities.
    • Monitor client team wellbeing and partner with HCBP lead to design and implement initiatives to increase work satisfaction resulting in increased revenue (pulse survey)
    • Understand how different part of data should be put together
    • Provide HC policy guidance

    Staff terminations

    • Ensure all exits are captured on workday and the exit checklist and exit interview survey outcomes are completed.
    • Identify trends and collaborate with Assurance HCBPs to formulate solutions
    • Conduct exit interviews where practical
    • Provide input into HC controls
    • Work with QMSE supporting actions from the HCBP

    IR, Disciplinary & grievance

    • Work with the HCBP direct all matters to operations IR for review
    • Sit in as HC representative on hearings as and when required for exposure
    • Ensure the IR Database is updated accordingly
    • Support with distribution of warning e.g timesheets

    Exam Results

    • Assist with qualifying exam results for relevant LoS –ie. preparation, processing, communications, post results activities
    • Monitor qualifications status of staff studying and check accuracy of information.
    • Compile all information for exam lists
    • Provide templates

    Ad-hoc Activities

    • Assist with HC information on policy, leave and staff matters
    • Act as ambassador on HC Imperatives (eg. Workday, Values, PwC Professional)
    • Support on the actions of the SM process
    • Assist with NMP process admin ( exit interviews, Affidavits, telephonic calls)
    • Channel any queries for confirmation letters to Operations
    • Track receipt of NMP contracts
    • Follow up on Acknowledgement of Debt letters

    • Drive the achievement of the Assurance annual strategy as well as the HC Africa strategy taking into account leadership priorities and future business needs
    • Support business and HCBP’s to deliver talent interventions (talent identification, development, coaching, motivation, and ultimate retention) against business needs and the goal of transformation
