    Junior HR Practitioner

    • The purpose of the Junior HR Practitioner is to support the overall day to day operations of the Human Resources department on behalf of the client and direct and co-ordinate all Human resource activities.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Recruitment and Talent Support

    • Support end-to-end recruitment administration, including scheduling interviews and following up with candidates.
    • Support candidate screening and shortlisting.
    • Assist in preparing employment contracts, job descriptions, and induction material.
    • Compile basic staff turnover statistics for review.

    Industrial Relations & Compliance Support

    • Provide support on IR matters, including filing and documentation.
    • Prepare documentation for internal disciplinary processes.
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of IR matters and appeals.
    • Support the consistent administration of sanctions and performance management records.

    Payroll & Operations Support

    • Monitor day-to-day administration of biometric clocking systems and shift rosters.
    • Support salary query logging, documentation, and follow-up.
    • Manage termination’s, including scheduling exit interviews and filing reports.

    Policy & Administration Support

    • Assist in maintaining HR policy and procedure documentation.
    • Maintain and update HR information systems and employee records.
    • Compile monthly/quarterly HR reports.
    • Provide support on Employment Equity and Skills Development reporting.

    Learning & Development Support

    • Coordinate induction training sessions.
    • Support performance management processes.
    • Maintain accurate training records.

    KEY QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

    • Matric
    • Relevant tertiary or equivalent HR qualification.
    • 2 – 3 years' HR experience.
    • Good computer literacy, particularly MS Excel and Outlook.
    • Understanding of South African labour legislation.
    • Awareness of Employment Equity and Skills Development legislation.
    • Good communication skills and ability to liaise professionally at all levels.
    • Well organised, able to follow instructions and manage own workload under supervision.
    • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work as part of a team.
    • Good attention to detail.
