Junior/Mid Merchandiser at Talented Recruitment Specialists

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior/Mid Merchandiser (Clothing) to join a leading fashion supplier based in Dunkeld, JHB.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant tertiary qualification in Fashion, Clothing Production, Retail Buying, or similar
• At least 6 months (full time) work experience in the related field
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiar with design terminology and tech packs

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in communicating with buyers and managing basic queries
• Support the team during line showings and follow-up meetings
• Attend line showings, take notes, and help with preparing style briefs
• Send style briefs and ensure accurate follow-through
• Check purchase orders (POs) against indent lists
• Assist with coordinating between design and merchandising teams
• Help track sample development and approvals
• Compare photo samples against CADs and tech packs and attach necessary documentation
• File lab dips, trims, and approvals as directed
• Assist in preparing costing files and maintaining style records
• Help follow up on delivery timelines and sample approvals
• Provide admin support to the QA team, including checking samples and basic report compilation
• File QA documents and assist in preparing sealed samples for warehouse submission
• Help verify order paperwork and chase bulk production samples when needed
