We are currently looking for talented and ambitious graduates to join our award-winning careers programme and work as a Junior Software Developer for one of our clients in the financial sector.

As part of your role, you will perform several tasks involving retirement fund administration, asset management, business analytics and business process management. You will be part of the Application Development Team and provide computer programming assistance in the development of several software projects, which may include deployment of web enabled software for Linux systems, Windows systems, mobile systems, web systems, etc. Software will interface with core systems located on the internet, installed locally and deployed at customer locations. You will also be responsible for reporting progress regularly to associated personnel.

Desired skills:

• Microsoft .Net / C# programming language
• HTML, CSS, JS, Angular
• Cobol
• Business Process Management
• SQL database programming
• Ability to develop documentation for the deployment and operation of software
• Ability to work independently and as a team depending on tasks
• Ability to follow and adhere to company processes and standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

We ask you have the following:

• Demonstrable passion to succeed within the IT industry
• Eligibility to live and work in South Africa
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably within Software Engineering or Computer Science, but all degrees considered
• Willingness to commit to employment with FDM for a minimum of 2 years upon completion of the training period
