    Key Account Manager

    To manage the processes and resources that improve, grow and retain key clients through the successful implementation and management of client contracts, contributing to improved client satisfaction, financial performance and reduced risk.

    Key performance areas:

    • Analyse and report on process performance and risk, to identify improvement initiatives.
    • Create and manage delivery plans and targets.
    • Provide and ensure the optimal utilisation of material, equipment and technology required.
    • Implement business processes with supporting 'standard operating procedures' (SOPs) within the framework of the relevant business practice.
    • Compile and execute engagement plans for applicable clients.
    • Implement and manage ad-hoc changes and annual reviews of contracts, terms & conditions, rates & service agreements for applicable clients.

    Finance:

    • Manage a budget.
    • Manage the accurate billing of clients.
    • Negotiate contract renewals and amendments with clients.

    Client / Customer:

    • Analyse relevant business intelligence to identify, justify through business cases, and drive continuous improvement initiatives for clients / customers (Internal / External).
    • Compile, analyse and report on applicable client account plans consisting of service levels, risks, financial performance, improvement opportunities and other information.
    • Receive, record, resolve or escalate and follow up on client/customer queries or orders and provide regular feedback.

    People:

    • Manage the adoption of process improvement initiatives.
    • Manage the performance of employees.
    • Manage the training and development of employees
    • Apply or initiate corrective and/or supportive action when required for employees you supervise.
    • Fill approved positions in compliance with the Recruitment practice.
    • Complete own training successfully as per an agreed personal development plan (PDP).

    Nature of position:

    • Permanent

    Qualifications required:

    • Bachelor`s Degrees and/or Advanced Diplomas

    Skills and experience required:

    • 5 – 8 years' relevant work experience.
    • The ability to understand financial and economic concepts and principles; to identify, create and/or exploit opportunities, and improve the viability of a business.
    • The ability to ensure high standards of quality and service delivery to meet and exceed client expectations.
    • The ability to explore, identify, learn and implement new and creative ways to improve processes, products, services, practices, customer value, organisational effectiveness and culture.
    • The ability to inspire, motivate and direct individuals to take ownership of-, and achieve desired outputs.

    • Displaying the mental and/or moral strength to be open and direct with others without being intimidating or intimidated.

    Technical Competencies:

    • Prepare and report on budgetary requirements on business unit/ team level.
    • Understands how to effectively plan and manage business operations including service delivery
    • Provides clients/customer with quality service and solutions to satisfy changing needs
    • Understand and apply commercial concepts
    • Develop and manage relationships with client to effect long term profitable business relationships
    • Knowledge and understanding of the manage and development of people, optimising their outputs and effectively manage relationships, in order to achieve organisational goals.
    • Knowledge of labour relations policies and procedures in dealing with labour matters in a work environment
