Job Description    

• Assist with sample reception, registration and preparation.
• Perform routine and non-routine analyses
• Record, verify and report results.
• Maintain laboratory data records and logs as required.
• Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment in use.
• Perform physical inspections of raw materials.
• Evaluate and verify raw material quality according to procedures and report non-conformances before stock intake.
• Assist with resolving raw material non-conformances.
• Assist with any raw material quality related queries and requests.
• Comply with governance & compliance policies and procedures.
• Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards.
• Take responsibility of work environment and ensure that the work area is maintained in a tidy condition.
• Report on substandard housekeeping in their area of responsibility.

Duties & Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience    

• Matric / Grade 12 (Math & Science).
• Must have a National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry or related qualification.
• Must have at least a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the laboratory environment.
• Must be willing to work overtime, when required.
• Computer literate, particularly Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Feed additive/raw material knowledge advantageous.
