Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• A National Diploma/ Diploma in Chemical Engineering
• At least two years laboratory experience in a tertiary institution and or industrial experience in Chemical Engineering
• Good track record in demonstrating and supervising of Chemical Engineering practicals in a tertiary institution
• Knowledge and understanding of the latest technology and developments in the field Chemical Engineering

Recommendations:

• Advanced Diploma/ BEng Tech or BTech in Chemical Engineering.

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

• Supervise and demonstrate laboratory practicals on the Chemical Engineering programme
• Ordering of chemicals, materials and equipment for the laboratories
• Supervise and mentor student laboratory practical.
• Organise and manage Chemical Engineering laboratory facilities.
• Health and safety management of the laboratories
• Support postgraduate students and supervisors in their research
• Assist with departmental administration.
