Grade 12 certificate. Two years’ experience in Laundry Department. Computer literacy, communication skills and ability to work under pressure. knowledge of customer care and Batho Pele Principles.
Have good communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to rotate and be prepared to assist other section of Laundry Department when there is a needs. Must be willing to work weekends and night shift.
Duties :
Ensuring the issuing and delivering of clean linen to relevant departments is done timeously. Receiving of clean linen from outsources laundries. Packaging of clean linen in the shelves, controlling and monitoring of minimum and maximum stock available in the linen from wards, sorting out and counting of soiled linen before sending for washing.
Making a follow up on the line not received back. Sluicing of stained line. Queries to assist in the process of stock taking and weekly spot checks. Cleaning of line trolley before and after use.
Supervise linen staff and all activities relative to quality laundry / line management and assist with procurement processes for line replacement.
Ensure that Ideal Hospital Framework and Realization, Batho Pele Principles, Patient’s Rights and OHS Act are upheld contributes to management of complaints and patient safety incidents. Perform any other duties as delegated.
