    Lead Business Analyst

    The Role

    This role determines and documents business requirements and works with design & implementation staff to design & implement solutions within constraints. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through own efforts.This role also provides ongoing guidance/supervision to the Business analyst as a mentor/coach.

    • Analyses past, present and future business environment.
    • Works closely with systems analyst and project manager to design and implement solutions.
    • Tests systems and user acceptance and implements changes or new applications.
    • Ensures all testing protocols are adhered to.
    • Investigates and defines requirements for business processes.
    • Analyses business processes to determine problems, risks and opportunities for improvement.
    • Contributes in sessions for end-users, including training.
    • Provides input to the documentation of requirements including data modelling, interface layouts, data flows, screen and report layouts, etc.
    • Contributes to the design of new business processes.
    • Contributes to strategies and guidelines to improve the business environment.
    • Provides input to management (both IT and business) on business procedures and policies.
    • Matric certificate, plus relevant tertiary qualification (degree/diploma).
    • Experience in business and data analysis, solutions design & testing, data modelling, in a Commission Calculation and Payment Solution advantageous.
    • Minimum of 6+ years of Business Analysis experience.
    • Microsoft TFS and web experience will be highly advantageous.
    • Solid experience in working in a multi-discipline team fostering collaboration and team work.
    • Strong communication and facilitation skills, and business acumen.
    • Experience in the .Financial Services industry will be advantageous.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent SQL skills will be an advantage.
    • Experience in working in an agile/hybrid environment.

    • Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT): Information Technology, Diploma (Dip): Information Technology, Matriculation Certificate (Matric)
