    Lead Product Developer

    What We’re Looking For:

    The Lead Product Developer role exists to lead the development of scalable platforms and products for organic and paid marketing. These products include Paid Landing Pages, HTML Brochures, Portfolio Marketing pages as well as Blogs. All of these being integral to the key Marketing priorities of lowering CPA and CPL.

    With Paid Landing Pages serving as the primary destination of all AdSpend for 2U Short Courses, a major component of the role is to be responsible for safe, accurate and consistent performance in lead creation with further emphasis on incremental performance enhancement via testing and CRO best practices.

    By utilising PHP, JS, HTML, CSS, REACT and Github, the role leads the development and expansion of the WordPress marketing web ecosystem, new feature development, development of testing mechanisms, safe deployment strategy, maintenance as well as ensuring cybersecurity, accessibility and legal compliance.

    Furthermore, the role seeks to enhance operational efficiency and reduce knowledge gaps between teams in marketing. This manifests in the form of research and integration of 3rd party tools onto the systems developed by the team. Examples being Live Chat for customer operations, FullStory for UX, and YOAST for SEO.

    Additionally, the role works in close alignment with other functions - User Interface design, User Experience Analysts, Web Motion Designers and Conversion specialists, to proactively pursue an industry leading front end experience.

    Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

    • Utilising modern web technologies like PHP, Javascript, HTML, CSS and Content management systems like WordPress to create and facilitate a scalable, world class, client facing, integrated marketing web ecosystem for all browsers and device types.

    • Ensuring integration into broader business systems via API development and by working in collaboration with teams across the broader business.

    • Maintain and optimise code and marketing systems using version control tools such as Github and NewRelic in order to ensure all systems are operating under ideal circumstances.

    • Research, develop and integrate 3rd party tools like Calendly, Yoast SEO, and others into the marketing ecosystem as well as provide further assistance in setting up and operationalising these into various teams and business processes.

    • Assisting in the setup and implementation of experiments within the Optimizely testing environment, as well as furthering server side testing capabilities via system enhancements.

    • Collaborate with Cybersecurity and System Infrastructure in order to ensure all code created by the team is safe and can be merged into systems without exposing the business to any risk or jeopardising existing systems.

    Things That Should Be In Your Background:

    • Comprehensive knowledge of content management systems.

    • At least 3-4 years experience in a similar engineering/development role.

    • Strong server and client side programming skills including PHP, JS, HTML, CSS.

    • A passion for marketing with a keen eye for user experience-oriented design and development.

    • Certification in digital marketing and a good understanding of consumer behaviour.
