Requirements:

• Grade 12 Fire Fighter 1 and Fire Fighter 2 Certificate Hazmat 1 and 2 Certificates Pump Operator/Aerial Appliance certificate Higher Certificate in Fire Technology will be an added advantage
• 4 Years Operational experience of which 2 years must be at Firefighting level Computer Literacy: MS Office Must be Physical fit with No Criminal Record Code C1 Drivers Licence Ability to speak local spoken languages.

Key Performance Areas:

• Reporting to Station Officer the incumbent’s responsibilities will include: Attending to fire, rescues and related emergency situations Attending to hazardous material incidents Responding to and dealing in disaster Management issues
• Conducting and demonstration of fire preventing awareness, Participating in Public Fire Safety Education Rendering basic first aid to rescue victims
• Responsible for leading fire crews at emergency incidents Administrative duties to including reports, updating Logbooks, Vehicle Checklist, assisting in maintaining fleet of vehicles and equipment Supervising Shifts on duty Training of staff Dealing with disciplinary issues as and when required.
