    Learning and Development Internship

    Purpose of the Position:
    The purpose is to provide practical work experience to students who are in their final year of study and require In-Service Training to obtain their qualification. Successful interns will be expected to enter into a 12-month contract commencing 1 February 2022 and terminating 31 January 2023.

     

    Key Learning Areas include (but are not limited to): 

    • Administer the LMS (Learning Management System)

    • Assist with development, review, and testing of eLearning courses 

    • Contribution and immersion in building a digital learning culture

    • Assist staff with performance management processes (inclusive of career and development plans) 

    • Involvement in new employee on-boarding

    • Involvement with Internal and External training programs

    • Build and maintain external service provider relationships

    • Facilitation of supplier management platform

    • HR Administrative tasks (including reports and dashboards)

    • Service Delivery to all internal stakeholders

     

    To qualify for selection and participation in this programme, candidates must satisfy the following criteria: 

    • Currently in the process of completing studies within Industrial Psychology/ HRM/HRD undergrad degree and require in-service training in order to complete your curriculum

    • Eager to learn, good work ethic and positive can-do attitude with high energy levels

    • Demonstrated Advanced Computer literacy – Word, Excel, PowerPoint

    • Sound verbal and written communication skills,

    • Strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities,

    • Exposure to eLearning course development will be an advantage,

    • Attention to detail

     

    Prospective interns must submit the following:

    • Certified copy of Grade 12 certificate,

    • Covering letter / Letter of Motivation,

    • A Curriculum Vitae,

    • Certified academic record,

    • A letter from the tertiary institution confirming that the student requires 12-month practical work experience in order to obtain his / her qualification.

    • A format for evaluation required by the tertiary institution indicating how the student will be evaluated during the internship programme.
