    Learning & Development Intern

    INTRODUCTION

    ROLE PURPOSE

    Effectively facilitate and deliver learning interventions to support the achievement of learning and development, and business goals.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK OUTPUTS

    • Facilitate learning interventions in line with business requirements.

    • Collaborate with HC team and business stakeholders to determine business learning requirements and gap to enhance learning delivery.

    • Collaborate with the Learning & Development team and relevant subject matter experts to gain an understanding of the learning material which may be technical, tactical, system soft skills, management, and leadership.

    • Complete all product specific training and be mandated on products prior to facilitating that solution.

    • Study the content of the learning material to understand the intent of the programme.

    • Develop an innate understanding of the business strategy, systems, and processes so that facilitation of solutions is within the context of our CVP

    • Analyse the audience’s needs and select or adapt training approach and activities in line with audience needs.

    • Communicate all logistics and requirements to the relevant administrator to ensure the learning intervention is run smoothly.

    • Facilitate and deliver learning interventions in line with adult learning principles.

    • Incorporate motivating and interactive learning techniques to enhance the learning experience, to maximize learning and retention.

    • Plan and conduct learning activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration and work time that provides participants with the opportunity to observe, question, and investigate materials covered during the session.

    • Provide a positive learning environment in which participants are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process and achieve learning goals.

    • Conduct and administer competency assessments as well as assess application and integration of learning into the workplace and provide support to staff where applicable.

    • Gather evaluation and feedback on learning intervention and compile relevant reports.

    • Maintain effective and efficient record keeping on the relevant system e.g., Learner Management System.

    • Collaborate with Learning Development and Delivery teams by sharing best practices and knowledge to enhance service delivery.

    COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

    • Eye for Detail with good planning and time management skills

    • Energetic and Self-Motivated and be entrepreneurial

    • Numerical reasoning ability and analytical Skills (including numeracy)

    • Fluent Verbal and Written Communication and Comprehension in English

    • PC Literacy

    • Fluency in English

    • Be self- reliant and resilient

    • Manage relationships well and able to be adaptable to clients’ needs

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • National Senior Certificate (Matric/Grade 12)

    • Human Resources or Learning Diploma/Degree

    • OD-ETDP (Occupationally Directed Education Training Development Practice) certification (preferred)

    • Driver's license (advantage)

    • Must be unemployed, South African citizens aged between 18 and 35

    • Interest in sales and customer service essential

    • Learning facilitation passion/interest(essential)

    • Retail / sales experience will be an advantage.

    • Knowledge of skills development

    • No criminal record

    • Have honesty and integrity

    • Previously disadvantaged candidates
