The role in a nutshell

• As a Learning & Development Partner at Luno, you will help to design, develop and facilitate learning and practicing experiences. As a team, our goal is to build a culture of learning that enables Lunauts to become the best version of themselves.
• You will report into Jaime-Lee Green who oversees People Development for Luno. The People Development team forms part of the People team function within Luno. 
   

Your mission will involve 

• Helping the team to create a continuous learning culture built on the four E’s - Education, Experience, Exposure and Environment.
• Ensuring that our strategy and learning products embed our Moontality and ultimately supports Luno’s mission of being piloted by the best team.
• Designing, organising and facilitating blended learning programmes by applying innovative techniques and best practices for learning and development.
• Taking responsibility for the content development process (research, create, train-the-trainer, etc.).
• Working closely with our People Partners to put forward outcome-driven, impactful learning initiatives for teams based on their requirements and/or skills gaps.
• Engaging with external partners to arrange and facilitate internal learning opportunities, e.g. workshops or masterclasses.
• Managing and maintaining eLearning platforms, as well as marketing the platform to create optimum development opportunities, whether personal, industry or career driven.
• Owning certain “products” within the people development team, as an example; people manager onboarding or our performance review product.
• Putting forward observations, insights and recommendations as you take Lunauts through learning and development initiatives.
   

In your first six months, you will

• Obtain an understanding of Luno in general and our development culture and initiatives
• Get to know the People team and your key stakeholders
• Work with the team to review our overall strategy and approach
• Take ownership of a key people development product to own and drive forward.
   

‘ The ideal Lunaut for this role, will have’ 

• Worked in a high growth, international scale up business, which will help you navigate changing priorities, ambiguity and allow you to design solutions that reflect our cultural diversity
•  3+ Years proven experience as an L&D practitioner, where you can demonstrate how you have applied impactful solutions to learning and development challenges
• A proven data-driven approach to learning and development, which allows you to review the success of a learning product or to use data to tell a story and share insights, thereby securing support for your ideas and recommendations
• Knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models. Experience with emerging tech trends for content creation (e.g. gamification) will be beneficial
• Strong facilitation and coaching skills which engage and support Lunaut and Leadership development 
• Ability to apply critical and creative thinking to create engaging and impactful learning experiences, recognising that there is no “one size fits all” approach
• Proven ability to work and communicate with all levels of the organisation including cross-functional, global teams
• The ability to work effectively under pressure, adapt to rapid changes in information, meet deadlines and be accountable for performance in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• A relentless curiosity about their craft and will be endlessly passionate about developing Lunauts!
