Lecturer: Channel And Media Planning (Independent Contractor) - Johannesburg at Vega School

Job Purpose:

Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Ideal:

• Masters in Marketing Communication/ Marketing and Media Management/ Advertising Management/ Marketing
• Or a non-cognate Masters degree with at least 10 years' experience in a senior position in advertising media planning and buying

Alternatively:

• HEQSF 9** qualification that includes a branding, marketing or advertising planning component.
• Marketing and branding should have, at a minimum, been successfully completed within HEQSF 7 and 8 qualifications

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

• Experience in media strategy, planning or buying preferred Advertising/ Channel/ Media Planning preferred (in conjunction with relevant one-up qualification)

Key Performance Area:

• Prepare for lectures based on provided content.
• Supplement content with own expertise.
• Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours.
• Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed. 
• Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.
