Lecturer (Chemical Engineering/Mass Transfer and Separation Processes) 5 Year Fixed Term Appointment [Re-Advertisement] at University of Kwazulu Natal

Job description

• This position is in the specialist area of Mass Transfer and Separation Processes, covering fundamental concepts, separations by phase, the use of membranes and mechanical separation techniques, amongst others.
• The incumbent will be required to teach undergraduate courses, develop independent research programmes, supervise research and undertake administrative duties.
• The incumbent will report to the Academic Leader Discipline: Chemical Engineering.

Minimum requirements

All applicants must have a BSc (Eng) degree in Chemical Engineering.  In addition the following will apply:

• A PhD degree in an appropriate area OR Master’s degree in an appropriate area, with evidence of submission of PhD for examination.
• Evidence of appropriate teaching experience at tertiary level, related to the area of specialization.
• Evidence of presentations, at national or international conferences.
• Current research activity as evidence by a publication quality scientist journals.Candidates with Professional Registration with ECSA will be considered favourably.
