    Lecturer: Clinical Psychology

    • The main purpose of this post is thus the provision of teaching, training and education in psychological skills and knowledge to students and associated activities in the Faculty of Health Sciences in line with the objective of the Division of Psychotherapy
    • The aim of the Division is to integrate core skills and competencies of psychotherapy assessment, and evidencebased psychotherapeutic interventions and treatment into identified student cohorts (classes), academic curriculum,who receive training and teaching in the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health at the University of Cape Town.

    Requirements:

    • Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology
    • Registration with the HPCSA as a clinical psychologist.
    • 1 year’s post registration experience (including community service).
    • Teaching, academic and research experience will be advantageous.

    Responsibilities:

    • Teaching, training, academic supervision, clinical supervision/peer mentoring and examination of medical students.
    • Curriculum development, mmonitoring and evaluation.
    • Design and conduct research.
    • Represent the Department and Division at Departmental and Faculty committees.
    • Liaise with appropriate divisions within the department.
