The College of Accounting invites applications from a suitably professionally qualified person who wishes to make an impactful contribution to our dynamic team. The College seeks to appoint one (1) permanent full-time Lecturer, in the Financial Reporting section.  The College wishes to make this appointment with effect 1 January 2027, or soon therafter.

Requirements for the position:

• Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) or as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
• Demonstrable teaching ability and good presentation skills. Evidence might typically include lecturing, tutoring, workshops, training and the creation of learning materials.

The following will be advantageous:

• A relevant master’s degree.
• Teaching at an undergraduate and/or postgraduate level on a professional accounting programme.
• Experience in academic administration and leadership roles at course and/or departmental level.

Responsibilities at the Lecturer level include:

• Teach at an undergraduate and/or postgraduate level on the College’s endorsed programmes.
• Engage in research and scholarship that benefits the College and the accounting profession.
• Perform related academic administrative tasks at a College and/or Faculty level.
• Participate in College initiatives, especially those that meet the College’s transformation objectives.
