Lecturer: Institute for the Study of English in Africa (2 Year Contract) Part-time
All academics are responsible for disseminating knowledge (teaching and learning), creating knowledge (research), community engagement, and professional involvement in their field beyond the university, recognising differences in executing these responsibilities within the various departments and Faculties.
Academics are also expected to assume administrative, management, and/or leadership duties at the departmental, Faculty, and/or University levels
The Requirements
A Master’s Degree in Education with a specialisation in English Literature Teaching. A PhD or progress towards a PhD would be an advantage.
At least three years of Senior and FET Phase teaching or teacher education experience.
Ability to teach English Literature and support in-service teachers in schools and districts.
Track record of administration, management, and/or leadership roles (leadership roles may be informal).
